JAE COPP
BRISBANE, AUSTRALIAWe Grew Carrots For Teeth To Be More Like Bears
Jae Copp is a self-taught, Sydney born artist and like most teenagers who grew up in the mid 80s to early 90s he found himself immersed in street cultures, which evolved around graffiti, music and skateboarding. Role models included Chris Miller, Neil Blender and Ed Templeton.
In 1999 Jae traveled throughout Canada, London, the United States, then finally along the coast of Mexico. This ignited an ongoing development of a contemporary mythical/folklore direction, which is reflected in his work today.
Jae currently resides in the mountainous seclusion of southern Queensland.
